Leonard grew up in Concord, NC and has a strong academic background in chemical engineering, with studies at Duke University, Clemson University in Organic Chemistry, and the University of Toledo with a focus in Toxicology. In the late 1990s, he patented a groundbreaking method to remove color and aquatic toxicity in acid-reactive textile dyes. Over the years, Leonard has earned numerous environmental excellence awards from major corporations, utilities, and municipalities across the US, Canada, and Europe, recognizing his significant contributions to environmental innovation and sustainability.

Christian has a strong foundation in plant operations, having attended Pfeiffer University and earned multiple certifications across several states, including Physical/Chemical, Subsurface Operations, Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, and Field Lab certifications. With expertise in stormwater sampling and analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, Christian possesses in-depth knowledge of biological and physical-chemical operations in water and wastewater treatment plants, bringing a comprehensive understanding of environmental systems to every project at Stogner & Little.

Barry Hawkins - Project Manager

Barry, a Charlotte, NC native, began his career in construction project management in 2018 after graduating from The University of Tennessee. He holds Master's Degrees from Virginia Tech in Natural Resources Management, as well as from Northeastern University in Project Management. He has a proven track record in leading major commercial construction projects throughout the US. Barry is also a certified FAA Part 107 commercial drone pilot and specializes in construction management and leading drone operations for aerial site surveys for the team at Stogner & Little.

Michelle Hobgood - Environmental Permitting Specialist

Michelle brings over 15 years of experience as an environmental professional and data manager. She holds a Master’s Degree from Duke University in Environmental Management with a strong background as a regulatory specialist, and she has extensive experience in environmental compliance. Michelle specializes in compiling and writing environmental permits, including Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Clean Water Act (404 and 401) permits, and Threatened and Endangered Species (T&E) permits for the team at Stogner & Little.
